The Southampton University Chamber Choir forms part of one of the older societies to be affiliated to SUSU (Southampton University's Student's Union). A society in its own right until 2004, SUCC has a reputation for fine singing and a close community spirit.

In 2004 SUCC decided to link up with the SU Philharmonic Choir, giving students a choice to sing in both a large-scale chorus and smaller group. The two choirs formed the society Southampton University Bel Canto, with Andrew Ingram being the dedicated first President. When people join Bel Canto they are automatically entitled to sing with the SU Phil, while to sing in the Chamber Choir, members must audition. The Society continues to go from strength to strength and is now planning to break away from BelCanto and return to being dedicated to its own memebers.

The Chamber consits of 20-25 members, who study a wide range of subjects throughout the University. The Choir also tours every Easter with previous desitinations including Venice and Bordeaux, with a further tour planned for Vienna in 2012.
